Originally established as the European Internet Network (EIN) in 1995, we began by supplying business professionals and individuals with relevant and interesting news products. This challenge required EIN, now owned by the IPD Group, to develop its own proprietary software programs that would effectively search the internet for relevant news and then index it in a way that was both satisfying and efficient for our readers to use. The result is thousands of paid memberships for such products as EIN News, our Premium EIN News Services, the Inbox Robot and Newsfeedmaker.com, as well as other services that the IPD Group has to offer.
Some interesting facts:
- Before there was Google News, EIN News was aggregating news from Central
Europe, Russia, China and elsewhere around the globe (we started in 1995).
- Before there was CNN Pipeline, EIN News was originating live internet
broadcast news summaries for its users (we began internet news broadcasting
in 1997).
- Before NY Times Select, EIN News began charging fees for subscriptions (we
began collecting fees from subscribers in 2001).
EIN News is unique amongst internet companies for the simple fact that it survived the “dot com” bust and continues to thrive. Since i founding, EIN News has grown to over 25 full-time employees, which includes IT engineers and editors, as well as customer service and sales departments. Our corporate offices are in Washington, DC, USA, while our editing and support staff are located in Prague, Czech Republic.
